Andor Vince is a collections care advisor with 20 years of experience in the heritage sector. He brings a wealth of experience and expertise in managing projects in conservation and collections care. Over the years he managed or acted as an advisor on number of conservation and collections care projects.
Andor holds a certificate in Program and Project Management from Chartered Management Institute (UK). He is teaching project management for conservators and collections care professionals globally for 14 years now.

This two-day workshop will explore the risk-based approach to collections care and the application of Risk Management in Heritage (also known as the ABC) methodology in practice. The methodology was developed by the Canadian Conservation Institute and ICROOM with other partners.
The course is highly practical, and the participants will work on case studies involving both historic interiors and collections. Through practical exercises, you will learn to identify, assess, analyse and evaluate risks to collections based on their significance. You will learn how to use the results of risk assessment in prioritisation, cost-effective resource allocation and strategic planning in care for collections.
This intensive workshop is designed to provide knowledge and foundation to those working in museums, libraries, archives and historic houses in how to effectively assess risk to heritage collections. The workshop will be conducted online through a combination of interactive lectures, case studies, group discussions, and practical exercises, ensuring that participants gain both theoretical knowledge and practical experience.
Course leader
Andor Vince, is a collections care advisor. He has worked in the heritage sector since 1998, including the Institute of Archeology in Serbia, the Norfolk Museums and Archaeology Service (UK), the Fitzwilliam Museum in Cambridge (UK), and the University of Cambridge Museums (UK). Andor’s expertise is in collections care, including creating collections care strategies and plans, policies and procedures, emergency and risk management for collections, and developing cost-effective projects and strategies in care for collections. He worked with a wide range of heritage organisations worldwide including museums, libraries, archives, and historic house museums.
Andor's Master dissertation topic was collections assessment tools, with a focus on ABC risk management tool for collections care. He was trained in risk management for heritage collections at ICCROM in 2011. Since then he has facilitated a number of risk assessment exercises in different heritage organisations and has delivered practical workshops in risk management for collections globally.

Emergency Management and Practical Salvage of Collections (on-demand course)

Leading and Facilitating Tabletop Exercises in Emergency Response (on-demand course)

Tabletop exercises are one of the most time and cost-effective ways of assessing the level of emergency preparedness of an organisation and its emergency response team. In this course you will learn how to plan, deliver and evaluate an emergency tabletop exercise in practice. The course will cover the following:

The Leadership and Communication in Disaster Response is designed to promote effective leadership and communication skills specifically for heritage professionals involved in disaster response.
